RBH Group, developer of the successful Teachers Village projects in Newark, New Jersey and Hartford, Connecticut, is developing an approximately 850,000 SF mixed-use residential development on nine acres of waterfront property in the City of Stockton, CA. The project will be developed in two phases and consist of mixed-income residential housing, retail space, community/civic space and parking. Upon completion the project will include no fewer than 300 units, including independent living senior housing, workforce housing and affordable housing, 4,000 square feet of educational space, 16,000 square feet of retail and/or community-serving facility space, parking, and upgrades to public open space along the waterfront. The Village at South Pointe will ensure public vitality through educational facilities such as a community center and a life-long learning component (the “InQbator”) that will promote intergenerational sharing of ideas, technology, and techniques to advance skills, support careers and foster community connections. It will include neighborhood-based retail and will activate the waterfront with additional recreational offerings for residents and visitors to Stockton.
